Whole Brain Planning don’t own any black boxes nor are we magicians, but what the passionate team does have is an armoury of tools and energisers to unleash your teams’ creative potential.  The framework which guides all of our thinking is our White Box Planning tool.

We acknowledge that every project is different and unique. Once we have delved into the challenge, we think hard about putting a team in place, made up of our network of talented Principle Associate Planners.

We’re flexible

Whilst we love using all five stages of our process, we’re flexible (and budget savvy!) enough to know sometimes clients may need to use us just to help kick start a planning process or give a project a final push for the finish.

It’s a collaborative process

You’ll probably get that we love to work collaboratively here at Whole Brain Planning, building in workshops throughout the brand planning process, designed to leverage all the brainpowers in your team. However, we’re also able to operate by stealth, locking ourselves away in a room thinking ourselves and returning to you a range of powerful ideas.

We’re a friendly and approachable bunch at Whole Brain Planning, and while we have a lovely office in Manchester we’re also very willing to set-up camp in your offices…that’s providing you supply us with plenty of coffee and cake to keep our brain juices flowing!

Our Story

Mark Williams, a Strategic Planning Director, is one of those unique people who has the ability to mix analytical rigour with creative thinking skills when faced with a new challenge. Mark has spent a considerable number of years on both sides of the fence, working client-side for large international marketing organisations and also stepping to the dark side otherwise known as agency life. During this time he worked with a full range of agencies from small boutiques through to the well known management consultancies that everyone knows nobody ever gets fired for hiring.
Mark became increasingly frustrated with agencies’ inability to provide teams with the right mix of skills under one roof, and struck upon the idea that smart business decisions could only ever be made using a blend of both left and right brain thinking. From this frustration and eureka moment, Whole Brain Planning was born in Spring 2011.
